Alston Industries at the 2024 Black Expo Hosted By the Zeta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Brunswick, GA – Alston Industries was proud to participate in the 2024 Black Expo, hosted by the Zeta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., at Burroughs Molette Elementary School. The event brought together Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and local residents to celebrate Black excellence and showcase the diverse and thriving business landscape in Coastal Georgia.

The expo provided an important platform for minority-owned businesses to connect with the community, network with one another, and highlight the economic and cultural contributions of Black entrepreneurs. Attendees enjoyed a full day of presentations, product displays, and networking opportunities, all while celebrating the positive impact of local Black businesses.

AJ Alston, Founder & Managing Partner of Alston Industries, shared her thoughts on the event: "It was an incredible honor to be a part of this year’s Black Expo. Seeing so many talented entrepreneurs and leaders in one space was inspiring, and it reaffirms our commitment to supporting the growth and success of minority-owned businesses in the Golden Isles."

Booth holders received commemorative goodie bags with takeaways and information on other registered businesses. The Zeta Iota Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. also organized wellness talks and even featured lesser known health information booths provided by the Brunswick, GA chapter of the Links Incorporated. The renowned Yolanda Neely of Magic 105.9 and The Island 94.7/97.5 did a wonderful job curating good vibes with her set.
