Brunswick, GA – Founding Partner AJ Alston was proud to attend and represent Alston Industries at the Second Annual She Means Business Luncheon, hosted by the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce.
The event, held in April, brings together dynamic female leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across the Golden Isles for an afternoon of networking, learning, and empowerment.

The luncheon was sponsored by Mr. Shuck's Seafood and Willie's Wee-Nee Wagon, catered by Coastal Kitchen, and featured a keynote address by Carrie A. Boan (Brain Diva), who shared her journey of developing boundaries for building a successful career. Her words resonated with many in attendance and reinforced the importance of resilience, innovation, and transparency for meaningful support in the world of entrepreneurship.

In addition to the keynote address, the luncheon included a panel discussions with successful women business owners and leaders such as Kendra Rolle, City Commissioner, Cherise Cartwright, a prominent realtor and developer, and Dr. Michelle Johnston, former president of the College of Coastal Georgia, among others. This was an opportunity for local female entrepreneurs to share their stories and learn from each other. One of the Chamber's goals with this event was to show support for women in our workforced and this was well evidenced by the many men leaders and chamber members who staffed the event from registration and check in to the mimosa bar complete with branded wine tumblers sponsored by Oakbridge Insurance. Attendees left inspired and empowered to continue making meaningful connections and breaking down traditional barriers to achieving success in their respective fields.

“The She Means Business Luncheon was a beautiful display of the impact countless women here have on our economic future,” said AJ noting the value of connecting with so many influential women who are driving business operations and growth in the region. “We’re excited about collaborating with other women-led businesses in the Golden Isles.”

Alston Industries supports many women-led and women-focused groups based in the Golden Isles and is committed to contributing to Glynn county in a way that fosters an increasingly inclusive and diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem.
