Mentoring at Idea Bootcamp Hosted by the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship

Brunswick, GA – This week I was honored to participate as a mentor at Idea Bootcamp, a free and innovative event open to the community, hosted by the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship. The bootcamp, which takes place several times per year in McIntosh, Glynn, and Camden counties, brought together aspiring entrepreneurs from across the area to develop, refine, and get tangible next steps for their business ideas alongside Ande Noktes, Executive Director of the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship, and community mentors with qualified business experience.

The Idea Bootcamp is part of the Lucas Center’s ongoing mission to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in Coastal Georgia by providing local innovators with access to resources, mentorship, and education. As dedicated supporters of entrepreneurship and community development, Alston Industries was proud to contribute its expertise to help shape the next generation of business leaders.

Mentoring at the Idea Bootcamp was an incredibly rewarding experience. The energy and creativity of these entrepreneurs is truly inspiring, and we’re excited to be part of any event that fosters innovation and economic growth in our community. Throughout the bootcamp, participants received guidance on key aspects of launching a business, including the entrepreneurial mindset, entrepreneurship as creative problem solving, and best practices for making things official. The event culminated in a charge for entrepreneurs to focus on their next steps, walking away with websites, contacts, and guidelines to help them grow.
