Driving Executive Leadership and Business Development Over Brunch

Brunswick, GA – This past weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of hosting an intimate brunch on behalf of the Chief Collective of Coastal Georgia, a social club dedicated to the leadership development of highly empowered women in coastal Georgia and the surrounding areas. Sponsored by Alston Industries, the brunch was held in the private dining room, The Study at Reid's Apothecary. This beautiful event offered a welcoming atmosphere to foster meaningful discussions on leadership and business growth for existing entrepreneurs and community engagers.

The Chief Collective, a catalyst for the professional and economic development of early-to-mid career Black women entrepreneurs, has carved out a unique space in Coastal Georgia. This brunch was one of the many curated opportunities that allow our members to connect, collaborate, and expand their impact within the local business community.

Throughout the event, we discussed ways to continue driving executive leadership and innovation, touching on topics like skill building, mitigating challenges in today's ever-evolving market, leveraging community partnerships, and actively supporting the growth of Black women as legitimate stakeholders in the future of business in Glynn county. We also explored opportunities for future collaborations, ensuring that our businesses not only thrive individually but also contribute collectively to Coastal Georgia’s socioeconomic development.

Our brunch wasn’t just about networking—it was a precursor to the group's first year of programming which promises over 40 yearly opportunities for development, including professional workshops, well-being events, and networking functions like this one.

As I navigate the transition from import to local native, I'm committed to engaging in spaces where women can learn from each other, build connections, and strategize for the future. 

As we shared a beautiful meal and inspiring conversations, I was grateful to express my figurative and literal appreciation for each attendee thanks to the help of long-time vendor Tropical Roses. Special thanks to everyone who attended, and to Reid’s Apothecary for providing the perfect setting for this inspiring event. I look forward to more gatherings as we continue to empower homegrown leaders and drive lasting impact in our community.
