Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. Connects with Darien-McIntosh Chamber of Commerce

Darien, GA – Alston Industries own Founding Partner and Director of Programming for the Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. attended this month's Business After Hours with the Darien-McIntosh Chamber of Commerce along with Pryce May, Golden Isles Film Festival Inc. Executive Director. 

This casual and welcoming event was hosted at Darien Telephone where they met with local leaders to discuss exciting new opportunities for Georgia’s booming film industry. During the event, Alston and May had in-depth conversations with Kat Hoyt, President of the Darien-McIntosh Chamber and the President of Darien Telephone, focusing on a collaborative vision to build out infrastructure along Georgia’s coast that will ensure film projects remain in the state.

“As Georgia continues to solidify itself as a leader in the creative industries, it's crucial to develop the necessary infrastructure to support film and television productions across our coast and surrounding areas,” said Pryce May. “By building this foundation, we can create a seamless experience for production companies, ensuring no project ever has to leave Georgia for logistical reasons and adding millions to our local economies.”

The discussion centered on developing a network of partners and resources, particularly in telecommunications and local industry support, to enhance the region's appeal as a prime destination for film projects. Future collaboration between Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. and Darien Telephone will be an essential step toward creating a comprehensive infrastructure that will make Georgia’s coast an attractive and feasible location for large-scale productions.
