Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. Makes Regional Connections at Savannah Film Alliance Meeting

Savannah, GA – Alston Industries own Founding Partner and Director of Programming for the Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. (GIFF) attended attended the July Savannah Film Alliance meeting, along with Pryce May, Golden Isles Film Festival Inc. Executive Director where they made significant strides in building regional connections to bolster the film industry along Georgia's coast. With the Savannah Regional Film Commission, Savannah Film Alliance, and SCAD serve as a critical hub for filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals, the Golden Isles Film Festival aims to leverage these new relationships to enhance the cultural and economic impact of film production in the Golden Isles.
Pryce and AJ met with key players in the Savannah film industry to discuss potential partnerships, resource sharing, and collaborative efforts to strengthen Georgia's status as a leading destination for film production. The connections established at the event are expected to foster opportunities that could lead to an increase in film projects, workforce development, creative development, and a boost to tourism & hospitality to further growth in both the Savannah and Golden Isles regions. Key supporters of GIFF in attendance included Kat Hoyt, President of the Darien-McIntosh Chamber of Commerce, Randy Davidson, Founder and CEO of Georgia Entertainment, and Renee Leventis, Katie Schuck, and Walker Dalton of Film Savannah (Savannah Regional Film Commission).
Pryce expressed enthusiasm about the meeting: “This meeting was a fantastic opportunity for us to share about our inaugural festival, network, and explore collaborative opportunities. We’re committed to ensuring that the Golden Isles becomes a thriving hub for filmmakers, and these regional connections will help us continue to promote the area’s unique appeal for productions.”
